I’ve trained all my life, focusing mostly on cardio through running, cross country skiing, inline skating, and did daily yoga. Even though I went to other gyms for weights, my strength training was sadly lacking. In 2019 our team committed to 1 year of strength training with lan as our strength trainer and right away I was convinced and committed. He was attentive and interactive, providing specific cues, alternative exercises and advice.

I will say lan has given me a more positive mindset, confidence and provides great technical expertise. He is professional, personable and extremely knowledgeable. As I age, I have a new respect for strength training. It used to be a ‘chore’, now I really look forward to our training sessions. My mental toughness and physical strength continues to improve.

Since starting my training with lan, I have had number of significant health concerns, which lan addressed right away, and continues to. My greatest success no doubt has been to successfully complete my team fitness assessment, post illness. All thanks to lan!
