Jake plays for the Nepean Raiders Jr A team in the CCHL.
After moving to Ottawa from Simcoe, Jake got recruited by the Navan Grad Jr A team. Jake got introduced to The Capital through team training with the Grads. He enjoyed his time here so much that he signed up for the summer hockey program and still comes in to train in-season
“I had never been here before and my first impression was how state of the art everything was. Probably the best place to train in Ottawa. Everyone is so nice and the equipment amazing.”
Jake enjoyed his time here in the summer just as much as his team training. “When you’re here in the summer you’re in a smaller group but they kind of become your team.”
Coach Haince describes Jugs as a hard working and extremely coachable. Every time Jake walks in the door he shows his dedication to physical preparation — wether it be an intense lift in the summer, or a needed recovery session in-season.
“It’s where you want to be. You feel like you’re getting the best out of your yourself when you come here.”
